SPARTAN RACE TRAINING

Led by our Spartan SGX instructor Will Petty, we have created the ultimate Spartan training set up. The key is to build up a good base of strength and endurance. Our Spartan set up gives you the obstacles to training on, the equipment to training with and the expertise to learn from.

There are a number of different areas you need to build up in order to be Spartan race ready:

  1. Running & Cardio

  2. Grip Strength

  3. Obstacle Technique

  4. Full body functional strength

  5. Mental Resilience

We have TWO different Spartan

classes, each designed to target

a different goal.

 

SPARTAN CONDITIONING

This class is all about building that key functional strength required for a Spartan Race. Targeting the full body with a focus on grip strength, core stability and lifting weights such as buckets, power bags, kettlebells and medicine balls.

We often use timed circuit workouts to let you slow down the pace and work on your strength.

Monday - 1830 & Thursday 1830

SPARTAN BOOTCAMP

These classes are hard work. They will push you into the high heart rate, muscle burning, endurance environment you will experience in a Spartan Race.

These workouts will give you an endurance based full body workout over 30 minutes to get you used to working for that long time; training on your cardio, strength and obstacle practice while you are tired and sweaty.

Monday - 1930, Thursday - 1930, Friday - 1830 & Saturday - 0900

OUR OBSTACLE SET UP

We have built the ultimate spartan set up to help you train towards your next Spartan Race. Obstacles are a key element to your training and getting race ready. We advise you learn the techniques required to complete the obstacles fully then step up your training and get used to completing the obstacles when you are tired and sweaty. Monkey bars are a much harder to complete when you hands a muddy and sweaty!
